German photographer Dieter Klein has traveled the world in search of abandoned cars that have been left to deteriorate and rust. These automobile graveyards act as a source of inspiration for the artist, capturing a moment in time where something man-made is being claimed by nature. Klein has found some rare vehicles in his line of work including a Jaguar XK120 which if restored has the potential to be sold for upwards of $120,000 USD. He recalls: ”I discovered a 70-year-old Citroen truck in a European black elder bush. More than the interest for the car itself, I was struck by the impact of this extraordinary process of transformation. I was hooked.” You can find more of his artwork on his official website.
