THE CITY LOST AND FOUND’ AT THE PRINCETON UNIVERSITY ART MUSEUM
Today’s show: “The City Lost and Found: Capturing New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles, 1960–1980” is currently on view at the Princeton University Art Museum in Princeton, New Jersey, until Sunday, June 7. The exhibition draws together more than 150 works—including photographs, films, posters, periodicals, and architectural renderings and planning documents—to examine the urban crisis and unrest in these three major U.S. cities during the two decades. Among the artists included in the show are Garry Winogrand, Romare Bearden, and Richard Haas. As part of the exhibition’s focus on multimedia, the curators have also published a website that maps out the buildings and streets that served as the inspiration or contact point for some of the works in the show.
