Surf culture is perhaps not usually associated with fine, classical art, but one company has combined the unlikely elements in a fantastic, limited-edition line of surfboard designs inspired by European art. One design set is a three-part rendition of the 15th-Century, wool-and-silk Dutch tapestry, The Lady and the Unicorn, which hangs in Paris’ Cluny Museum. Each surfboard showcases rich red-and-gold hues that are true to the original tapestry topped with a glossy, waxed finish.
