Friday, 11 April: Shaun Jacobs

Shaun Jacobs appeared to come out of nowhere, his simple brand of sentimental rock filling the airwaves. His first single “With You” made 78 of the top 100 songs of the year on Highveld Stereo and KFM - just one of 16 South African acts to make it. Released in 2012, Paper Wings is one of Shaun’s closest and most successful projects to date. His incredible voice has resulted in a mass loyal following, easily recognisable for former fans and seemingly pleasing for new ones. He is fully involved in the process of making music, from composing his own songs and playing every instrument in the production, to doing his own mixing and producing in the studio. A really talented artist who embraces all things life and music!

Aancod Zaccarelli was born in England, adopted by a Japanese family, and spent his formative years in Israel, and South Korea. He is now a musician/busker as means to travel the world. Tebogo Mokoena was born in Johannesburg and has learnt to play the saxophone since when he was a child. Having played with with jazz groups, and many other jams, some say he has mastered the art of improvisation. Get ready for upbeat vibes on the KWV Sound Stage with their exceptional improv and mood capturing playing!

This jazz fusion trio has many performances under their belt from festivals to venues around the Western Cape.
